I am very shallow when it comes to books. Eve will do anything to make that happen, including murder, mayhem, and betrayal. All her sons need to make strong alliances when they mate and ONLY with WOLVES. She wants Anton to make a strong alliance to bind the Harris Pack to another powerful one. Not only does Grady’s origins make him unfit in her eyes he chose a human as a mate which Eve finds sacrilege. His eldest son Grady is a product of a relationship prior to Elroy’s mating with Eve and would never be an option in Eve’s eyes. He expects Anton to be his heir, ready to lead the Harris wolves when Alpha steps down. Elroy holds his sons up to the example he leads, to be warriors and protectors. Alpha Elroy guides his family and pack with a firm hand. The Harris Pack is one of the strongest shifter clans in the region. He becomes more and more dear to me each time I pick up this Mate Set novel. I have fallen head over heels for Anton over my many readings of His Purrfect Mate. She caught wind that the Defcon Red Veslors are treated poorly, and she manipulated everyone and everything to get on that ship to investigate, and she won’t go anywhere until those warriors are treated like the prized warriors they are. Let me summarize: life on Defcon Red sucks for them even though they make life better for everyone and work four times as hard as the human teams.Įnter Abby (let’s not forget that Laurann Dohner can’t help but name her heroine’s names that end with A-I-E-O-U or Y) after surviving the Gorison Traveler Incident she is a Veslor champion. You don’t want to be on the wrong side of them–but the treatment they receive is beyond terrible, and their human Spec-Ops Team Lead is a prejudice douche. Veslors are kickass elite warriors who don’t take names but allow local deities to sort the fallen bad guys’ bodies out. This Drak is part of the Veslor grouping on Defcon Red. I don’t get why Drak is such a popular alien name, but it is, and we just have to accept that Drak is always going to be a hot as hell alien lover. Title: Mission: Guardian Angel (Veslor Mates #2)
